ENGINE 1In 2009 College Park Fire Rescue has replaced replaced Engine one. It is a beautiful 2009 Pierce Arrow XT. Staffed with a minimum of 3 personnel, Engine one features: 455 Hp. Detroit Diesel engine, 1500 Hale single-stage pump and a 750 gallon poly II tank, 6 Kw. hydraulic generator with 200 ft. cord reel & 5 floodlights. It has seating for 6 personnel, an in-cab ALS / EMS compartment, increased compartment space over previous engines and extrication equipped.
ENGINE 2 Engine two is a 1999 Pierce Quantum. Staffed with a minimum of 3 personnel it features: a 430 Hp. Detroit Diesel engine, 1500 GPM Waterous Two-stage pump, 750 gallon poly II tank, and 40 gallon foam tank. It also features an automatic ladder rack and "top mounted' pump panel allowing the driver to have a 360 degree view around the apparatus.
SQUAD 3 Squad 3 responds on a 2001 Pierce Dash 2000 featuring: a 430 Hp. Detroit Diesel engine, 1500 GPM Hale Single-stage pump, 500 gallon poly II tank, AMPS 10 Kw. Hyd/PTO generator, and a 12,000 pound Warn winch. College Park Squad 3 was organized in 2001. Based largely on Squads from FDNY and Boston, Squad 3 was developed when the need for a Technical Rescue Unit and maintaining a 3rd Engine Company were combined. It operates effectively as an Enhanced Engine Company, making it a versatile unit for the incident commander. It also has a sister apparatus as Kentland 333.
TRUCK 1 Truck 1 is the new "flagship" of the College Park fleet. It is a 2008 Pierce Arrow XT 100' Aerial Platform. It features: a 515 Hp. Detroit Series 60 Diesel engine, 2000 GPM Waterous Single-stage pump, 300 gallon tank, 10 Kw. Hydraulic generator, 200' cord reel, 5 floodlights and 115' of ground ladders. It replaced Tower 1 (1995 Pierce Lance 100' Aerial Platform).
AIR 1 One of the 3 newest additions to the CPFR fleet, is Air 1. It responds on a 2008 Chevy C-5500/LifeStar chassis. Air 1 features seating for 2 personnel, a 4-tank cascade with booster pump, storage for 25 SCBA Cylinders, 10 Kw. hydraulic generator, and a 200' cord reel with 7 floodlights.
